Most Israeli Jews support Republican candidate Mitt Romney, and most Israeli Arabs prefer U.S. President Barack Obama, according to a new poll.
Support for Romney includes 70 percent of self-defined right-wingers, 54 percent of centrists, and 30 percent of left-wingers.  However, a plurality of Arab Israelis prefers Obama (45 percent) over Romney (15 percent). Read more.

Mitt Romney criticized U.S. President Barack Obama Tuesday after the Democratic Party apparently removed a reference to Jerusalem as Israel’s capital from the party’s platform.
In 2008, the platform said “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel”, while in 2012, the Democratic platform made no mention of Jerusalem.
Several pro-Israeli party functionaries at the convention fumed about the omission of Jerusalem, and later Romney’s campaigned released a statement in response, saying that t was “unfortunate that the entire Democratic Party has embraced President Obama’s shameful refusal to acknowledge that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.” Read more.
